Falling For You

Happy Tuesday. How are you doing? It's a little cooler outside and grass frost is forecast from tonight! So it seems very apt to bring a Fall card out today.Lol.

Inside it reads - Falling For You

Mr Pumpkin was cut  from Mini Monsters at 2".
A bit of embossing, stitching and lots of inking and 3d foam for dimension.
The sentiments are from All Around halloween by My Creative Time.

I am entering this into the following challenges....
BBTB2 - Fall Theme
My Craft Spot - Sew Much Fun
Fantabulous Cricut - Splash of Colour - add yellow
Die Cuttin' Diva's - Fall colours

Congrats

Hi,hope you had a great weekend. It's a holiday weekend here in the UK.I managed some time in my craft room this morning and made a few cards. The rest of the week is looking busy so I will share them with you during the week.
Hannah,my lovely dental assistant got engaged to her sweetheart, Jon, last week,so I wanted to make her a special engagement card. They are a young and trendy couple so wanted something simple and chic.
Last week's challenge over at Whimsical Wednesdays was 3x a Charm. You are to use 3 colours,3 cuts and 3 embellishments.

I used red, brown and black as my colours. I used Life's a Party for the heart card at 4" and the heart mat. My 3rd cut was Congrats at 7" from Wild card.
I made 3 flowers using my Tim Holtz tattered florals die as my embellishments and 3 'diamond' stones as centres. They are set like jewellery and are absolutely beautiful.

I like how this turned out.

Congratulations Hannah and Jon.
Thanks for looking.

Make A Wish

Hi,Happy Thursday. Today I got my gypsy out and made a card! I'm not good at using it that much and it often winks at me when I open the drawer!! Well it had an outing today.Lol!
I knew what I wanted to make...a birthday candle card.

I love how this turned out. I'm going to make a few more of these because I don't know about you but I still never have a last minute card to hand when I need one!

A close up of the ribbon, pin and sentiment.

I welded the candle from Wrap it Up at 9" to make the card and then cut another one to cover the front. As always everything inked and 3d foam to pop the flame.

I am entering this over at Fantabulous Cricut where the challenge this week is Birthday Bash.

Sorry,I know this is photo heavy but I just wanted to show you this last piccie. I love crystals and have them around my craft room and the sun is shining(although I don't think it will be for too long) and they make beautiful prisms and this just happened to fall as I took this photo. Doesn't it just make the candle look as if it's lit?

Have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Jayne x

Recipe
Chipboard

Lace and cream vintage seam binding
Glossy accents and pearls
I used silicone glue to pop things up as I didn't want foam pads to show from a side view.
Acrlic paint mixed with dimension medium
Vintage photo for edges
Promarkers for colouring

Hope you like it as much as I do. Happy Birthday Ladies and to any of my other bloggy friends who are celebrating this week. Thanks for looking.

Just For You

Hi,hope your week is off to a great start. Today is a new challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion and the theme is to make a circle shaped card for any occasion. Here is what I came up with...

The card is cut at 5.25" from Wild Card and the flower is cut at 5" from Life's a Beach. All layers are embossed, sanded and inked. I curled the petal edges and raised the centres on 3d foam to add dimension.

Do come on over and check out the fabulous projects by the rest of the design team and don't forget to add your project too.

Thanks for stopping by. Sorry for so few posts lately, just very busy with the holidays. I truly believe it's important to make the most of these times as children grow up so fast and life's so busy ,it's great to kick back and have fun.

Santa Box

Hope your day is going great. I have had some playtime in my craft room this morning(my son is at Grandma and Grandad's). We are off camping tomorrow...yep,I said camping....not my favourite activity and it's pouring with rain!!! But we'll have fun anyhow. (No,that didn't sound convincing to me either, wonder if there's a B&B near the campsite?!) lol.

Today I made a Santa gift box to enter over at My Craft Spot. The challenge this week is giftbags/boxes and you should see the amazing DT projects.

I love making boxes and bags and reached for my old favourite,Tags,Bags,Boxes and More. The triangle box was cut at 6",inked and assembled.
I then cut Santa(only the shift cut) at 1.75" from Doodlecharms. Discarded the hat as I used the box for that. Inked all edges, gems for eyes and flocked hat rim  and hat pompom.
Punched some holly and added gems and ribbon.

I really like how he turned out and he would be great hanging from the tree or as a table gift. Think this would work for  a snowman or penguin too. He was so quick and easy to make you could easily run up a batch of them.

Thanks for stopping by. Call back tomorrow for the winners of The Back to School blog candy.
Have a wonderful evening.

Back to School Blog Hop

Welcome to Jovan's Back to School blog hop.You should have arrived here from the super talented Amber's blog.

I loved school and was a bit of a girly swot! But back to school was always filled with trepidation until I got to know my new teachers and class mates. The one thing I absolutely loved was getting a new pencil case and stationery! And yep I still love pens and papers........lol!!!

I made a desk set for my son, Ossian. He is 10, so I kept it 'cool' (maybe!).

The empty caddy is from the 99p store and I painted it in cream acrylic paint. Then used mod podge to cover with ink distressed papers, followed by more inking over the box edges.

Made a notebook with my WRMK Cinch. Added ribbons, clips and eyelets. I used Graphically Speaking cricut cart for the sign on the book and for the magnetic paper clips. All cut at 2" and inked and embossed in places.

I covered a maths geoemtry set and die cut his name from Life's A Party at 0.75". He's not going to lose this at School!! lol.

My son has a magnetic message board so I thought the big clips would be perfect for attaching home work/ notes etc.
I covered a pencil and stapler in paper. The School Zone was glued to acetate and can be used as a bookmark.

Finally, I wanted to stamp a card. I do so much on my cricut these days, I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy stamping.

How cute is that little school boy? He is  Lili of the Valley stamp. I love how this turned out.

The papers throughout are Lime Twist by My Mind's Eye. Hardware on the card is by WRMK. Image coloured with Promarkers and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink used throughout.

Next stop on the hop is the lovely Adrian's blog. If you just happened  to drop in, do go to Jovan's at the beginning of the blog hop. She is hosting a challenge, so do make sure you enter for a chance to win some of her blog candy.

But just before you go, I have some blog candy to give away. I have a Back to School Girl and a Back to School Boy, Lili of the Valley stamp. All you have to do is be a follower and leave a comment for a chance to win. I will randomly draw a Girl stamp winner and a Boy stamp winner on Friday 19th August.

I am entering my desk set over at Whimsical Wednesdays - Back to School, no cards and at My Sheri Crafts - #66 Back to School. Also, I am entering my card over at Sir Stampalot - Anything Goes.

Finally, I want to say a huge Thanks to Jovan for inviting me to participate in my first blog hop and with such talented ladies.

Thanks so much for 'hopping' by, and hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs, Jayne x

Just in case you are a bit lost here's the 'hopping' order

Duckie

Hi,hope you all had a great weekend. We had a fun few days away. Today is my 100th post and 5 months since I started blogging! I was very nervous about it,who would want to see what little ole me created? I am so glad that I did enter this wonderful blog world as I have made some lovely friends and found lots of inspiration from many amazing people. Thanks for joining my journey.

School hols mean I have limited craft time and whilst my son was at cricket academy this morning I decided to make another stamped card. Although I use my cricut plenty, rubber stamping is what brought me to papercrafting.

I've called her Duckie.(My Mum's idea!). She is another Penny Black stamp from Fun in the Sun and probably has her own official name but I was on the phone to my Mum and told her I was just posting my duck girl card. She thought duck girl was a terrible title and that she should be Duckie but not spelt correctly! So Mum,Duckie just for you.

A side view to try to show the dimension.

Card Recipe
Kraft cardstock
DCWV - Cafe Mediterranean Papers
PB stamp
Promarkers
Stitching,inking and 3d foam
My Creative Time scallop and stitched circle die
Glossy Accents - on goggles & starfish bumps
Lace

I am entering Duckie into the following challenges...
My Craft Spot - #20 - Use hot colours
Stampalot Challenge - August challenge - Whatever you Fancy
Penny Black - #163 -Anything Goes (must use Penny Black stamp)
Birthday Sundaes - #21 - use birthday greeting
Paper Playtime - #52 - Water project
Frosted Designs - Colouring
The Paper Variety - citrus colour challenge
Thanks for looking and will be back tomorrow, bright and early. Enjoy your Monday whatever you're doing.

Sunflower Friend

Hello and happy thursday. How fast has this week flown? Just want to welcome my new followers and take the opportunity to thank each and every follower for making blogging so fun, your comments really lift my day especially when I'm working and can't get to craft!!

I made a quick and simple card today to enter in a couple of challenges. I am away for the next few days so wanted to have something to share with all my lovely friends!

Fantabulous Cricut - Let's be Friends
My Craft Spot - You make me smile
The Kraft Journal - Walk in my Garden

Family and friends are the sunshine of life and I think sunflowers represent sunshine, (stay with me!), so hence a sunflower cut at 3"  from Stretch Your Imagination and a Hero Arts 'friends' stamp stamped in the middle and surrounded by brown micro beads seemed appropriate for both challenges.
Tim Holtz kraft stash  and vintage photo inking. Flower popped on 3d foam. Clear epoxy dome over sentiment.

Have a great rest of the week, see you Sunday.
Hugs,Jayne x
